Blessed with Grace and Joy

His Grace is like the wind,
Breath and life ascend.

Flowing freely on a gentle breeze
Releasing the debt of sin.

Eyes that can now fully see.
Forgiveness granted to
All those who Believe.

Rising through the air
Far and reaching wide to declare,

That Jesus gives us His amazing grace,
Which brings comfort to embrace.

Our blessed hope,
Our strength,
Our Savior;
Declared Worthy
we have found favor.

In His sacrificial love thereof;
our spirits are warmed by thy promise
of heaven above.

Bringing to our hearts which He faithfully employs
Awakening us to an abundance of joy —
Here on earth and for all eternity forevermore.

Salvation provided to whosoever will.
A gift freely given; graciously awaiting
all those even still.

Jesus died to prove His love.
The debt of sin paid for in full
by His precious Blood.

For whenever we feel lost
We can look to — The Cross,

And be reminded that
nothing can ever replace or destroy
His atoning sacrifice,
which proclaims that our lives are
Blessed with Grace and Joy.

JOY COMES IN THE MORNING

Photo by Jackson David on Unsplash

Remember that pain and sorrow

doesn’t last forever;

Joy does come in the morning.

You may not feel it today,

Maybe not even tomorrow,

But, eventually you will

breathe in the calmness of the cool air,

Feel the warming embrace

of the sun’s rays upon your face,

And dance once again

beneath the brightest bluest skies.

Look up beautiful one…

Peace is just over the horizon.

Psalms‬ ‭126:5

Inspire BibleNew Living Translation

“Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.”

A Joyful Return to Zion

Psalms 126:1-6

The people are encouraged to preserve in the knowledge that God will again restore His people.

The historical setting of this psalm focuses around the return of the exiles from captivity in Babylon as permitted by the decree of King Cyrus of Persia in 538 B.C.

Joy accompanied this release from captivity.

THE JOY OF THE LORD

Daily Prayer Devotional
SATURDAY, February 20, 2021

~ THE JOY OF THE LORD ~

“For the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
‭‭-Nehemiah‬ ‭8:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

LORD, sometimes my days seem so commonplace and I feel tired and worn.
Thoughts, often invade my mind that the days are forever unchanging. Most days, finding it hard to experience any Joy, leaving me filled with lowness of spirit.

O, LORD, help me to earnestly seek to go about my days with a positive outlook on life.
Renew in me a new attitude of mind, soul and spirit.
Lord, direct my path and guide me in all Your ways.
May my conduct always reflect a lifestyle in the manner that is worthy of you.
Help me, Lord, to remember that life is a precious gift and that you ultimately hold the key to all Joy.
Lord, lift up Your countenance upon me and cover me in Your Peace, which can only come from you.
Remind me, Lord, that you are the Master planner of my life and it is ‘Your Joy’ that gives me strength.
O, Lord, I can joyfully rejoice; because it is You, that is rejoicing in me.
Amen.

~ A Thought For Today ~

…for the JOY of the LORD, is the Joy that fills God’s heart. When we are obedient to God, the Lord rejoices in us. In return, we too will experience the Joy of the Lord, and it will be our strength. Remember, this is God’s Joy, which we are privileged to share.
