Psalms‬ ‭126:5

Inspire BibleNew Living Translation

“Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.”

A Joyful Return to Zion

Psalms 126:1-6

The people are encouraged to preserve in the knowledge that God will again restore His people.

The historical setting of this psalm focuses around the return of the exiles from captivity in Babylon as permitted by the decree of King Cyrus of Persia in 538 B.C.

Joy accompanied this release from captivity.

Today’s Scripture – Philippians‬ ‭4:6

Be careful for nothing (don’t worry about anything); but in every thing by prayer and supplication (presents the cure for worry, which is believing prayer) with thanksgiving (takes in all God has done for us in the past, what He is doing at present, and shall do in the future) let your requests be made known unto God. (This speaks of all things, material, physical, and spiritual.)
