GOD surely listens, understands and knows the hopes and fears you keep in your heart. For when you trust him, Miracles happen.

Sometimes I think too much…
I tend to let my mind ponder on things far longer than I should.
Some might say that’s a good thing, I personally believe that in my own experiences it always isn’t.
If you are like me you sometimes struggle to find just the right words to express exactly what is in your heart and mind.
Often more times than not, worried that your words may be misunderstood.
Call it fear, fear of what others might think, fear of being judged.
Call it insecurities, that feeling of uncertainty in the pit of your stomach.
Call it anxiety about oneself, having a lack of confidence.
Call it self-doubt, being plagued by negative thoughts.
Call it what you wish.
In some form or fashion we have all experienced these feelings.
I have come to realize in my own journey, that when we aren’t truly free to be who we are and authentically express our thoughts and feelings, we aren’t being true to ourselves or to others or to God.
And I believe that God is calling us to step out in faith and to free ourselves from such bondages! He is calling us to break free of those chains and the things that keep our hearts and minds captive! Make a declaration today, as I have, to no longer be bound to the enslavement of such persecuting thoughts.
Take that first step and share your heart with others without the fear of condemnation.
It’s not always easy, and it often comes down to a choice:
• Choosing not to allow fear and anxiety to control your life.
• Choosing not to seek the approval of others. Ask yourself, am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? (Galatians 1:10)
• Choosing to focus your mind on what is truth in the midst of uncertainty. In Luke 24:38; Jesus said, “Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?” Being troubled by fear, doubt, discouragement and even despair, robs us of peace.
• Choosing to stand firm in unwavering faith and on the promises of God’s Word.
We should take these questions to heart. It is God in whom we aim to please. God knows the hopes and fears that you keep in your heart and He surely listens and understands. One of my favorite verses is, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
~ 2 Timothy 1:7
We might still feel afraid, but we can believe that God is with us. We may not be in control, but we can trust the One who is. We may not know the future, but we can know the God who does.
Allow His mercy and grace to fill your heart and mind with His peace. Walk in confidence knowing that their is nothing that you might do that would cause Him to love you any less.
Allow Him to lead and guide you and He will make your paths straight. Oh what marvelous Miracles and Wonders will abound when we trust Him and allow His presence, love and grace to dwell in our hearts and minds!
All of that stuff plaguing your mind? Give it to Him – again and again. Replace those fearful thoughts with His words of truth. He knows what concerns you, He’s got you covered. May all your fears find rest in Him.
“O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.”
~Psalms 139:1-2
“The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? The Lord is with me; he is my helper.” ~Psalm 118:6-7
